How Secure is WordPress?
WordPress is an ‘open-source content management system (CMS), which means it’s built and maintained by a network of developers free of charge. Like any CMS, security flaws will be discovered from time to time, but unlike most closed-source or proprietary CMSs, any security issues discovered in WordPress are patched almost immediately, and for free – all you need to do is update to the latest version of WordPress (a one-click update process).
Can I Add New Features in the Future?
Absolutely! One of the best things about WordPress is its extensive library of plugins. You can use these to add very comprehensive new features to your website with ease, allowing you to bolt on a shop or members’ login area at any time.
I’ve Had Problems with WordPress in the Past
Like anything, sometimes you’ll find that you just don’t get on with a particular piece of software. However, almost every problem we’ve ever come across with a WordPress website has been due to a badly written theme, or a third-party theme that’s been modified to work differently. Our bespoke WordPress websites are custom built specifically for you, and even the backend editing facilities are custom coded to make it as easy as possible for you to manage your content. There’s no shortcodes or HTML knowledge required – if you can use Microsoft Word then you’ll be able to manage your website content with ease.
