For our second client Q&A, we would like to introduce you to Julie Reilly who runs Perfections Bridal Studio in Worcester.
What does your business do?
Perfections Bridal Studio is a bridal boutique specialising in the sale of high end wedding dresses for the modern, discerning bride.
How did you get into the industry?
Back in 2011, I was searching for a wedding dress for myself and I fell in love with the idea of making others happy. I am a solicitor by profession and decided it was high time I became my own boss! Five years ago, I began my search in earnest to find the perfect premises or business to buy. On the verge of giving up, I could see that Perfections Bridal Studio was up for sale at the end of 2017. I became the proud owner of Perfections Bridal Studio in 2018 and the rest is history!
What do you like best about your job?
I love the challenges of running a business, leading a team, seeking new bridal trends and most of all, seeing the happy faces of our brides as they find the dress of their dreams.
What is your business’s USP?
We offer an extensive collection of high end wedding dresses sourced from the best bridal designers from Great Britain and beyond.
Where do you get most of your new customers from?
By word of mouth, our website and social media.
How has working with Worcester Web Studio helped you?
Our website was outdated and needed a complete overhaul. The new website has a clean, modern design with a brand new logo, access to our full inventory, and an online appointment booking system which has allowed us to increase the amount of bookings we can take. The overall result has been an increase in sales and interest in our brand.
Where do you see your business in five years’ time?
I hope it will go from strength to strength and become the first shop Worcester brides will want to go to!
What advice would you give to someone starting their first business?
Create a detailed business plan before you start anything! Running a business will be challenging, but so rewarding. Never giver up, as there is always a solution to every problem.
